Arnside Cemetery - 7 January 2021
Due to weather freezing conditions we are unable to fully open the Cemetery gates to allow vehicle access. As a result the main gates will remain closed for the time being. If you wish to visit the Cemetery please be aware that you can enter on foot only via the side gate until the weather improves.
Important Vaccine programme update from the NHS organisations in Cumbria supporting the rollout
The vaccination programme is underway. Due to the scale of the pandemic it is anticipated that it will be a long rollout.
NHS requests that you do not call your GP to ask about the programme or ask for an update as this is placing essential services under even more pressure and won't result in getting vaccinated any sooner. Residents will be contacted by the NHS when it is their allocated turn.

Arnside Parish Council Statement March 2020 The statement includes links to useful government and local websites.
With immediate effect, Cumbria County Council Highways will provide only essential services to keep highways safe. The reduced service will deal with emergencies, weather related issues, major defects already identified and Road Traffic Collisions.
The next Council meeting is on Monday 8 February 2021 and will be an online meeting. See the Council meetings page for more details.
On 4 April 2020, the government brought The Local Authorities (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority Meetings) (England) Regulations 2020 into force to allow local authorities to conduct meetings remotely without it being necessary for any of the participants or audience to be present together in the same room.
It is the intention of Arnside Parish Council to now hold Council meetings for the foreseeable future as online meetings, using the Zoom video conferencing system. This system is simple for all participants and members of the public to access.
If you wish to take part in the next meeting as a member of the public, please contact the clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 01524 574584. Please indicate if you wish to join by video (MAC/PC or Smartphone) or telephone only and if you have any questions to raise with the council during the public questions section of the meeting.
You will then be given meeting access details and if need be, some help with access onto Zoom.
The Council has issued a privacy notice and policy. Please find on the policies and document page. A Data Protection Officer Service has also been appointed and further documents will be developed to ensure full compliance on their advice.
If you have a matter you wish to bring to the Council's attention please attend a meeting or contact the Clerk or Council Members directly. They will be happy to arrange to meet with you if required. Please note Highways faults will most quickly be addressed if you report them directly to Cumbria Highways. See useful links page
